My name is Dave Buffam, and my wife and I are both avid RVers. I started this website to offer fellow RV travellers the opportunity to seek reasonably priced overnight private RV parking accommodations on private properties with residents in towns or in rural areas. Sounds a little different? Let me explain...

We have always enjoyed great camping on Vancouver Island, British Columbia in our 1990 Dodge class B motorhome. There are some lovely "private" RV Parks as well as Provincial campgrounds and if you don't make a reservation you may not even find a spot. The challenge we found, is that while private RV campsites do offer accommodation, they often don't measure up in other ways. Sometimes we just drove through the park without stopping because we just didn't feel comfortable. Boondocking spots are not always available or they don't offer a sense of security in order to have a restful night's sleep.

Buffam's Van - At China Beach Campground Let's face it, RVing is a state of mind as well as a life style, and during these times reservations are sometimes a challenge to keep. While we were 'between spots' in our travels, we noticed quite a number of rural and urban properties where homes are well back from the main road. Many of these offer easy access to frontage areas via the driveway, areas that could easily be used for overnight parking for RVers. Many of these types of properties were more aesthetically pleasing and restful than some of the parks we've experienced. To tell you the truth, we were very tempted to approach the homeowners to see if they would allow us to park overnight.

There are many natural, historical and tourist attractions we would all like to visit. The question we had is: do we want to travel the twenty to thirty minutes to a campsite just to visit these places? There are many properties that could easily accommodate overnight private RV parking that are close to local places of interest.
